Montemagno has been named executive vice president of programming. He has been with the company for more than 23 years and most recently served as senior vice president of programming acquisition and the company's lead negotiator with content companies.

LAW

Patty Moore has been appointed records maven at the Schlitt Law Firm in Huntington and will assist in all aspects of records management. The East Northport resident previously served as direct mail manager for Antares Information Technologies in Hauppauge.

Lynn Rubino Kay has been named an associate at Genser Dubow Genser & Cona in Melville. The Nesconset resident previously served as a part-time law clerk at the firm while attending Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in Hempstead.

TECHNOLOGY

Cablevision Systems Corp. in Bethpage, Newsday's parent company, has announced two promotions.

David Kniffin has been promoted to senior vice president of financial planning. The Connecticut resident has been with Newsday Media Group since 2004 and served as vice president of finance in the planning and analysis department.
