    The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary announced the following newly elected positions.

    North Merrick resident Hal Marschall has been elected deputy national commodore responsible for all Coast Guard Auxiliary matters from Maine to Florida and recreational boating on a national basis. He was formerly district commodore.

    Vincent T. Pica, of Westhampton Beach, has been elected district commodore for the 1st district southern region. He was formerly district chief of staff.
