ACCOUNTING

Andy Tarquinio has been promoted to partner-in-charge of the Melville tax practice at Grant Thornton. The East Setauket resident previously served as partner.

Gary Lombardi has been named a board member of Transitional Services of New York for Long Island and Haven House/Bridges, not-for-profit organizations that provide housing and support services to people in need. The Brookhaven resident is senior vice president/team leader at Sovereign/Santander Bank's New York Business Banking in Melville.

Linda G. Orth has been named president of The Long Island Center for Business and Professional Women. The Plainview resident is vice president and commercial relationship manager of commercial lending at New York Commercial Bank in Jericho.

Marni Pankin has joined the board of trustees of the Long Island Children's Museum. The Plainview resident is a partner at Marcum, in Melville, in the firm's National Alternative Investment Industry.

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage welcomes three new members to its team.

Marc Handler has joined the Syosset office as a licensed sales associate. The Jericho resident was manager at Marshalls in Syosset.

Dawn Novick has joined the Northport office as a licensed sales associate. The Northport resident was an assistant manager with Bottle Bargains in Northport.

Yan Yao has joined the Dix Hills office as a licensed sales associate. She was a senior research scientist with Astellas Pharmaceuticals in Farmingdale and lives in Dix Hills.

Maritza Arroyo has joined Keller Williams Realty Homes & Estates, in Hauppauge, as a licensed real estate agent. The Brentwood resident held a similar position at Arvy Realty in Brentwood.

HEALTH CARE

Marie Ankner has been named assistant vice president for nursing education at John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson. The Bronx resident previously served as assistant vice president for nursing for the NYC Health & Hospital Corp., acting as chief nursing leader for the multi-hospital system, and served as director of nursing at Montefiore Medical Center, in Manhattan.

Dr. Seth Grossman has joined Orlin & Cohen Orthopedic Group and will be practicing out of the Lynbrook, Massapequa and Merrick offices. The Long Island City, Queens resident joins after recently completing his fellowship training in spine surgery at the University of California San Diego Medical Center.
