Kenneth Cole is lord of the Twitterverse. Outside his spring presentation Saturday he parked a big truck that blared, “Are you following me?” while inside he encouraged his models to spend time on their phones, tweeting and Instagramming with friends.
It’s all part of the overall look, swiped from the street, of sporty bombers trimmed with bright green snakeskin, scuba tops, leather moto jackets...Read more »
Nicole Miller is staging a style coup, of sorts, with a spring wardrobe fit for the well-dressed rebellista. “Rebels with a Cause,” she calls it — a collection that looks just as good strolling through Versailles…as storming it.
The designer, known for her cheeky prints, mentioned “the gardens of Versailles” and “storming the castle” in her program notes. This was her attempt, it seemed, to...Read more »
Rebecca Minkoff heads south of the border for spring, and she’s taking Janelle Monáe with her—yes, the pop rocker powered through some of her hits in a live performance at Minkoff’s show, dressed in bright white (white pants and a white button-down) with skinny black suspenders (and, of course, her signature pompadour).

Models boogied their way down the runway, waving and throwing smooches to the audience. And some of the models...Read more »
Degas knew a thing or two about dancers -- the long lines, the effortless grace -- and Tocca taps into that same muse for spring. Creative director Emma Fletcher dreamed up a wardrobe fit for a ballerina
In the mix: easy, featherweight pleated dresses (floaty and graceful), breezy jackets (pleats under the arm add to the flow) and sparkly leotards (for a little flash under sheer gathered gowns).
And...Read more »
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week starts Thursday, but leave it to Elie Tahari to sneak in under the wire with a Fashion Week holiday all his own -- that’s right, Wednesday, Sept. 4, was Elie Tahari Day, proclaimed by Mayor Michael Bloomberg in honor of the designer’s four decades in the fashion industry.
Joan Rivers took time off from her E! “Fashion Police” gig Wednesday to stop by Elie Tahari’s...Read more »
