This shingle-style home was built in Westhampton Beach about 1870 by shipwrights from Sag Harbor, and it is filled with woodwork that recalls the vessels from that era. It is on the market for $4.995 million.

The home’s entryway features an original double Dutch door made of maple as well as a winding, semicircular staircase. “It’s like you’re on a ship,” says Enzo Morabito of Douglas Elliman Real Estate, who is listing the property with his team.

The three-story house has eight bedrooms and 5 1⁄2 bathrooms. A breezeway connects the main home to a barn that Morabito says now houses a “man cave” with an office and home theater.

The two-acre property has a heated gunite pool and tennis court with half basketball court, and is filled with old trees, including a 100-year-old American chestnut, and currently thousands of daffodils.
