Five oceanfront properties in Amagansett are up for auction through April 20, with prices ranging from $3.999 million to $6.5 million.

To participate, bidders go to and enter the maximum amount they're willing to pay for the property -- this amount isn't revealed to rival bidders. There is a reserve price -- the lowest price acceptable to the seller -- below which there is no obligation to sell.

One 5,600-square-foot home with five bedrooms and 5½ bathrooms, seen here, is listed with a starting bid of $6.5 million. The house has three fireplaces, custom millwork and a heated gunite pool. The one-acre lot includes 196 feet of ocean frontage. Annual taxes are $42,079.

A 4,000-square-foot home with five bedrooms and 5 ½ bathrooms, custom millwork and solid mahogany windows and doors has a starting bid of $5.5 million. Annual taxes are $49,226 for the one-acre property, which includes 157 feet of ocean frontage.

Three undeveloped lots are also available, each with room to build a home with water views on both sides, says site owner Enzo Morabito, a Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate broker. “No one can build on the bay side. It’s protected wetlands, so you have water on both sides of you,” he says.

Morabito created the site to speedily bridge the gap between what the sellers want and what the buyers want to pay for a property.
