A restored Mediterranean-style home in Atlantic Beach with an unusual wood ceiling is on the market for $1.287 million.

Not much is known about who built the three-bedroom house, but listing agent Ruth Redlener of Douglas Elliman Real Estate says the owners kept the integrity of the architecture when they renovated it 10 years ago.

Redlener says she believes the Mission Revival-style vaulted ceiling in the living room is one of only two left in the area.

"It has been beautifully restored, well-loved and meticulously maintained," Redlener says.

The living room also has a stucco fireplace, and there's a full finished basement with a wet bar and built-in cappuccino-espresso machine. Also on the property, which is a block from the beach, is a wraparound terrace and a two-car garage with an attached cabana and full bath.
