This 1958 ranch in Brookville, on the market for $1,799,999, got a modern makeover eight years ago from famed architect Stuart Narofsky. During the renovation, Narofsky transformed the back of the house with clean lines and walls of windows, and the owners now use it as the front entrance.

"They redesigned the back of the house, which gives it that modern flare," says listing agent Donnamarie Chaimanis of Laffey Fine Homes.

The inside of the five-bedroom house with 4.5 bathrooms was also redone with a sleek new kitchen and bathrooms, as well as a geothermal heating and cooling system. The owners kept the original wood-burning fireplace.
