The former East Hampton home of Chevy Chase, star of NBC's "Community," is up for sale.

Property records show that the current owners have expanded the original real estate by purchasing a one-acre piece of adjoining property on Lily Pond Lane that is closer to the ocean and offers more privacy.

According to the listing, buyers have two purchase options -- the 10,000-square-foot, 10-bedroom historic home, circa 1895, on 2.2 acres for $25 million, the  four-bedroom 1940s home on one acre for $8 million, or both properties for $33 million.

The "Saturday Night Live" veteran and his family spent summers in the home from 1987 to 2001. In 1988, scenes from “Fletch Lives” were filmed in Newsday’s newsroom in Melville (left) on his request so he could commute from his recently purchased home.

“Very few of the original summer colony cottages have come on the market, so this is a rare buying opportunity,” says listing agent John Golden of Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate.
