When it was time to post the listing for her circa-1922 Floral Park home, Joyce Sullivan opted for a “candid shot” of the three-bedroom, two-bath Colonial.

About a year ago, Sullivan’s neighbor photographed her home while a giant rainbow crested behind her 40-by-100-foot parcel. She says the image captures the essence of the place she has called home for 45 years.

“I love my house,” says Sullivan, who has listed it for $669,000. “I really thought that was pretty, and it’s a happy house.”

Updates over the years include converting to gas heat, adding a fireplace in the living room, renovating bathrooms and installing new windows and doors, Sullivan says. An updated kitchen has granite surfaces and maple cabinets.

During an expansion, a new den was built, a bedroom was enlarged and “lots of closets” were added throughout, she says. The backyard includes an awning-covered patio and a detached one-car garage.

Barbara Ford and Curtis Ridolf of Ford Phase II Realty are the listing agents.
