The Anthropologie store that had been on the corner of Northern Boulevard and Glen Cove Road in Greenvale and recently moved down the road to Americana Manhasset sold some home decor items, but it had nothing on the new kitchen, bath and lighting showroom that replaced it.

Ferguson, a Virginia-based plumbing, lighting and appliance supplier which has 1,400 locations across the United States, recently opened at 9 Northern Blvd. The company also operates the former Davis & Warshow kitchen and bath showroom in Farmingdale, but the 9,000-square-foot Greenvale location offers more, says David Finkel, Ferguson’s director of showrooms for Northeast district.

“We like to think of this as Ferguson’s big introduction to Long Island,” Finkel says.

Finkel says Ferguson is noted for bringing together a large selection of products for home renovation projects. It will be a resource for homeowners, as well as designers and builders, he says.

“Everyone, whether they shopped at Anthropologie or not, knew that location,” Finkel says. “We want Ferguson to be the new landmark.”
