The luxury condominium development Foxgate at Islip has received approval by the Town of Islip for its clubhouse, security gatehouse and second-floor balconies for the second phase of the project.

The 40-unit first phase of the development in Central Islip is sold out, while the 46-unit second phase, expected to be completed next year, is 30 percent presold.

“We’ve had quite an uptick in the traffic coming in,” says Allison Mulhall, developments director at Laffey Real Estate, which is marketing the complex.

The entire project consists of 184 units being constructed in four phases. The design of the clubhouse will be modeled on a historic firehouse that once stood in the same location, and amenities include a heated swimming pool, showers, a fitness center, lounge and ballroom.

The two-bedroom, two-bathroom units start at $275,000, with various upgrade packages available.
