This Huntington Bay ranch, listed for $999,000, was once a carriage house that belonged to a larger estate, says agent Lee Cunningham of Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty.

Cunningham says the 1918 home has been renovated but maintains an “old-world charm” that can be found in the curved windows in the back of the house and in the brick fireplace, exposed beams and vaulted ceilings of the sunken living room.

The home offers three bedrooms, including a master suite, and three full baths. The bathrooms have been updated but have “an old-fashioned feel” about them, Cunningham says, with amenities such as a claw-footed tub. The kitchen has been refurbished with granite counters, dark wood cabinets and stainless steel appliances. There’s a formal dining room, a family room and a finished basement with an office and an outside entrance.

Cunningham says the three-quarter-acre property offers views of Huntington Bay, Long Island Sound and Connecticut from the elevated pool area. The gunite pool has been recently refurbished and marble-dusted and is surrounded by patio pavers and specimen plantings.

There’s a detached garage on the property, which is equipped with in-ground sprinklers and comes with beach rights.
