Manhasset is "one of the best school districts," says resident Adele Kuczmarski of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Manhasset. As for commuting, you can arrive at Penn Station by train in only 27 minutes, adds resident Deirdre O'Connell of Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty in Manhasset.

House hunters looking in Manhasset proper will find mostly Colonials. There are many clubs and organizations to join, too. "It's a tight-knit community," Kuczmarski says.
