There are surprises awaiting anyone who explores the basement of this four-bedroom, three-bathroom home in Hewlett. It is on the market for $725,000.

There's both a cedar sauna and a large bar, says Lana Reznikova, one of the owners.

The sauna takes just 10 to 12 minutes to heat up to 150 or 200 degrees and then it's ready, says Reznikova, who admitted she could only sit in there for a few minutes before dashing to her outdoor pool.

The basement also has a full bathroom.

Upstairs, on the first floor, there's an open floor plan with the family room a few steps down from the kitchen, living room and formal dining room, and Reznikova says it's possible to see through the entire house to the backyard from the front door.

"It gives off a lot of light," she says.
