This East Hampton home proves that what goes up must come down, eventually.

The Peter Cook-designed six-bedroom, 7.5-bath house came on the market last year for $19.95 million. The price was then raised to $21.5 million.

This week, listing agents Evan Kulman and Gene Stilwell of The Corcoran Group announced that the price has been reduced to $17.95 million.

The 10,000-square-foot house is on 1.43 acres overlooking a 17-acre nature conservancy. There is a heated pool and a guesthouse.

The home has a double-height great room, a wine cellar and a gym with a sauna and steamroom.
