Last month’s nearly $14 million sale in Sag Harbor made headlines as the highest selling one-family residence in the town.

Public records now reveal that the lucky purchaser is none other than commercial real estate titan Stephen Siegel, chairman of global brokerage for Manhattan-based CB Richard Ellis. A spokesman for Siegel confirmed that he is the buyer.

According to the Long Island Real Estate Report, Siegel and wife, Wendy, paid $13.7 million for the 8,200-square-foot bayfront home, which was listed with Tara Newman of Saunders & Associates. According to public records, the seller was C. Ray Langston III, a Florida-based hedge funder.

The seven-bedroom, 7-½ bath home has 200 feet of private beachfront. Amenities include a 50-foot heated swimming pool, a theater, sauna and steamroom and a croquet court.
