It’s more than skin care that’s been a family affair for the Lauder family ... it’s real estate, too.
According to The Long Island Real Estate Report, billionaire and philanthropist Ronald Lauder has sold one of his Hamptons properties to his daughter Aerin. The recorded price for the 2.77-acre property was $5.256 million. The Wainscott residence changed hands Oct. 5.
Ronald Lauder owns several Hamptons properties. His real estate holdings include residences in Wainscott, East Hampton and Westhampton Beach. He retired from Estee Lauder board in August. Aerin Lauder Zinterhofer, who married at her parents’ Wainscott home in 1996, is senior vice president and creative director of Estee Lauder, the company that her grandmother founded in 1946. Lauder Zinterhofer recently spoke to In Style Magazine about life in Wainscott: “I love the fresh air and the smell of grass. To walk on the beach with my children and look for shells and stones is my idea of heaven.
