Alicia Keys puts Syosset house on the market

Grammy Award-winning musician Alicia Keys is selling her gated 9,000-square-foot crib in Syosset. She's asking $3.85 million.
"This house is so special because it's nestled on a gorgeous tree-lined block in one of the nicest cul-de-sac streets on the North Shore," says Shaun Osher, chief executive of CORE, the Manhattan real estate firm listing the property. "The house itself is in top-notch condition, but it's specifically the layout that makes it a true gem. It's rare for a house to feel so intimate with 9,000 square feet of living space."

Property records show that Keys bought the 15-room house in 2005 for $3.995 million through a corporation.
Taxes are $40,970 a year, according to the listing.
The 2.2-acre property has a 50-foot pool with a Jacuzzi, a pool house and a 2,000-square-foot patio. There are six bedrooms, six baths and two half-baths.
Keys recently confirmed that she is pregnant with her first child and engaged to be married.
