Billy Joel's Sagaponack home sells for $10 million

Rocker Billy Joel took a loss on this Sagaponack house, public records reveal.
Joel closed Feb. 12 on the oceanfront bungalow for $10 million to an entity called "Under The Wind Llc," according to the Long Island Real Estate Report. The purchase price had previously been unknown. He bought the three-bedroom, two-bath home for $11.6 million in 2007, shortly after buying one next door as a surprise for wife, Katie Lee, before the two separated and filed for divorce.
The 1.2-acre property had been listed for $12.5 million. Biana Stepanian of The Corcoran Group was the listing agent. She is listing the other home, which is on the market for $22.5 million. Joel bought that one for $16.75 million in 2007.
