'Call Me Maybe' helps sell Huntington house?

Hey, we just saw this. And this is crazy, but here’s Matt’s number, so call him maybe!
Catchy right?
Well, Matt Coleman of Charles Rutenberg Realty thinks so. He borrowed the title from Carly Rae Jepsen's smash hit “Call Me Maybe” for a real estate sign advertising an eight-room Colonial in Huntington on the market for $729,000. He received an offer in four days, and the house is now in contract.
Coleman says some North Shore communities prohibit riders on real estate signs. Since the house he marketed was on the corner of Southdown Road, which is well traveled and in a section that is not incorporated, he took the opportunity to do some creative advertising.
“It’s been getting a lot of buzz . . . People are getting a kick out of it,” says Coleman, noting it led to two new listings.
When asked how he sold the house so quickly, Coleman refuses to reveal all his secrets. But he’s got another idea in mind for a sign for his next listing, teasing, “Wait until you see the follow-up.”
