Central Islip Contemporary is zoned for two horses
A custom-built Contemporary in Central Islip is not only composed of unique shapes and sharp intersecting lines, but it is also horse-friendly.
On the market for $429,990, the five-bedroom, four-bathroom house was originally built by two police officers in 1976. It is located in an area zoned to allow two horses.
The house has both slanted and flat roofing, oversized rooms and lots of light, says listing agent Debra Carpluk of Century 21 Selmar Realty. The unusually shaped rooms with high ceilings help the house flow well, Carpluk says.
The home also features a wood-burning stove in the mezzanine, a dual marble fireplace in the living room and dining room, and a deck off the second-story music room.
Outside, the house comes with an in-ground pool that has a waterfall and is surrounded by a patio.
