The buyer of this Westhampton ranch will own half the house at 659 B Arnold St. -- literally. It is attached housing originally built in 1959 near Francis S. Gabreski Airport for members of the U.S. Air Force and their families. On the market for $199,000, the two-bedroom, one-bath house and its carport in the Hamptons West development -- now Coast Guard and civilian housing -- needs a lot of work.

"Everything functions," says Jon Holderer of Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate, who is co-listing the property with Jeanne Lee Landsiedel. But, he adds, "Nothing's been touched on it in 30 years." And, "everything's overgrown" on the .2-acre property, he says.

But it is the lowest priced home in the Hamptons, and as such as has gained a lot of interest and even two offers in the 1-1/2 weeks it's been on the market. "It says a lot about the area," he says. "We don't have a lot of affordable housing." In May, Holderer sold another attached housing unit in the area for $150,000.
