Designer Jamie Drake puts East Hampton home on market

Ever wonder what a world-famous interior designer would do with his own property? Here’s your opportunity to see how Jamie Drake made this house his home.
His property in East Hampton property is now on the market. The five-bedroom, eight-bathroom (six full, two half), 6,200-square-foot home on almost three and a half acres is on the market for $2.9 million. Be prepared for a high wow factor with both the interior (there's a 27-foot ceiling in the stucco foyer) and the grounds (an enormous bent-wood folly across from a 40-foot pool).
“I’m looking for a new project, something different,” says Drake. “It’s time to apply what I’ve learned over the 12 years.”
Drake, who recently sold his Manhattan apartment, says he is hoping to buy a new place in the Hamptons.
A holiday open house is planned for the first showing from 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 28. Bring a non-perishable food to donate to the East Hampton Food Pantry Network.
The house is listed with Liz Omedes and Cathleen Civale of Mercedes/Berk in East Hampton.
