Real estate developer Elie Hirschfeld’s eight-bedroom mansion in East Hampton is on the market for $25 million. The traditional home sits on 1.2 acres with 200 feet of oceanfront and a private walkway to the beach. There are 7 ½ baths, five fireplaces, a library, a formal dining room and a heated gunite pool.

The home was designed by John Custis Lawrence, who also did the summer home of writer and satirist Ring Lardner. In 2002, the mansion underwent a complete renovation, including reinforcing the structure and foundation. Stephen F. Byrns, partner at BKSK Architects, worked on the project. Byrns has been a New York City Landmarks Preservation commissioner for the past five years.

Bettie Wysor of Sotheby's International Realty in East Hampton has the exclusive listing. Wysor says the home, built in 1920, “remains one of the best kept examples of the period.”
