A show and sale of paintings of the gardens at Grey Gardens, the former East Hampton estate of Edith Beale, known as Big Edie, and her daughter also Edie or Little Edie, whose bizarre riches-to-rags lives were depicted in the Emmy-winning HBO movie, will be held at Riverhead’s Junque Shop this weekend.

“It’s a post-Emmys celebration,” says shopowner Thea Cohen. The film, starring Jessica Lange and Drew Barrymore, was inspired by the Mayles brothers' documentary and the Tony-nominated Broadway musical.

Several paintings of the gardens by neo-American Renaissance artist Richard LaRovere, along with paintings of other gardens from the collection of fashion designer Pierre Cardin, are for sale.

The antique shop, at 269 Riverleigh Ave., hosts a meet-the-artist reception from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For details, call 631-334-8444.
