Jerry Della Femina asks $40 million for East Hampton home

The Hamptons oceanfront mansion of ad man and restaurateur Jerry Della Femina and his wife, fashion columnist Judy Licht, is on the market for $40 million.
“It’s spectacular,” says listing agent Susan Breitenbach of The Corcoran Group in Bridgehampton. “A very pretty house, perched up high on the dune, with one of the nicest views in the Hamptons. It’s an amazing property. Very, very seldom do we get a property like that on the market.”
Della Femina co-publishes The Independent, a free newspaper, and runs Della Femina restaurant, both in East Hampton.
The 7,000-square-foot European-style villa in East Hampton has been the site of “a lot of entertaining,” says Breitenbach. The house has eight bedrooms and 6 ½ bathrooms. The 1.69-acre property includes an oceanfront, heated Gunite pool.
