Magazine features fashion designer's Hamptons home

Fashion designer Jackie Rogers’ Wainscott house is featured in the May issue of Architectural Digest.
When Rogers bought the 2,100-square-foot cottage, it had been abandoned for almost two years, the magazine reports. It is rustic, made from planks and beams salvaged from 19th Pennsylvania farms, but the former model decorated the house with large photographs of Coco Chanel, Andy Warhol and other famous friends – one featuring her and Marcello Mastroianni.
Interior designer Thomas Britt helped Rogers decorate the weekend retreat. “I took her shopping to a dealer in Sag Harbor who had Asian antiques, and we found the Japanese lacquered table and then the 1970s Angelo Donghia furniture for the bedroom,” Britt tells the magazine. “I’ve known Jackie since when, and there wasn’t much to add to all the things she’s collected.”
