Merrick designer to do holiday segment on TV Sunday

Merrick interior designer Marlaina Teich says that making your home festive and welcoming during the holiday season can be easy and affordable. And she’ll be talking about that during a segment on “Metro Residential” at 11 a.m. Sunday on WPIX Channel 11.

Sparkle is the essential element. For instance, she suggests tying festive glass ornaments to a chandelier with colored ribbon, or placing several white or off-white pillar candles of varying sizes on a pretty gold lacquered tray with decorative crystals or gold metallic marbles around the base of the candles.

This will be the designer’s second appearance on the show.
