George Fertitta, chief executive of NYC & Co., the official marketing and tourism organization for New York City, has recently bought and sold in the Hamptons.
Fertitta and wife, Naomi, have sold their 1.7-acre compound in Bridgehampton for $10 million, according to the Long Island Real Estate Report. The couple purchased the home in 1989, records show. The property includes a six-bedroom, 3 ½-bath farmhouse, a two-bedroom guesthouse and a barn.
The Fertittas have not forsaken the Hamptons altogether; in September, they closed on the purchase of a .92-acre mid-century modern home in East Hampton. They paid $4.365 million, according to the Report.
Public records show that home was owned by entertainment executive Eric Ellenbogen, co-chief executive of Boomerang Media. The home had been on the market in 2008 for $5.695 million. It has five bedrooms, 5 ½ baths and a heated pool.
Last year Ellenbogen told Newsday: “It’s not a converted barn or classic-style Hamptons home ... people are looking for homes like this that have many nice features, but are easier to maintain because they are not these huge, flashy homes.”
Ellenbogen still owns another home in East Hampton that he had built on property about a quarter mile from the beach.
