Old Westbury home has an in-house spa
A trip to the spa is steps away at this 17-room contemporary frame and stone house in Old Westbury. On the market for $3 million, the home includes a hot tub plus a sauna and a combined pool and lap pool in the full finished basement.
The spa area has plenty of natural light, thanks to skylights (the house has a total of nine) and floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that open to a patio.
“You don’t feel like you’re in a basement,” says Brian Meier, co-lisitng agent with Geoffrey Gottlieb of Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate. A nearby media and entertainment room is separated by another pair of sliding glass doors.
The home, built in 1983, has seven bedrooms with eight full- and two half-baths. Curving staircases connect all three levels of the house. The sunken living room, on the second level, has granite floors, a corner wall with granite pavers housing a wood-burning fireplace and more windows from floor to ceiling that frame views of the gardens.
Other features include an eat-in kitchen, a formal dining room, a tennis court and an attached three-car garage.
