Perfume designer's Westhampton Beach house for sale
Fragrance designer Michael Förster , co-founder of the Förster & Johnsen perfume house, has put his country place in Westhampton Beach on the market for $849,000.
The eight-room house, with three bedrooms and two full baths, was renovated in 1996, lending it a “Zen-like quality,” says listing agent Enzo Morabito of Douglas Elliman Real Estate.
Skylights, picture windows and sliding glass doors were installed throughout the house. An open floor plan on the main level links the formal dining room to the living room and the den to the kitchen. There’s a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace in the living room, and a spiral staircase leads up to a library and the master suite, the latter with access to an outdoor deck.
The property, measuring a little less than an acre, has Italianate gardens, fountains, a koi pond and a 20-by-40-foot in-ground pool. Other features include a solarium and an attached, one-car garage.
