Rich Cribs: A home with 'Vegas-style' lounge in Roslyn Estates
Inside one Roslyn Estates Colonial listing for $2.998 million is what seller Marc Bender tried to turn into “the most unique game room that anybody could find outside a five-star Las Vegas hotel.”
The room, which has three televisions and a 10-person poker table, was devised by Manhattan designer Susan Morrow. It can accommodate 30 to 40 people. The custom poker table will stay for the right price; the TVs will remain with the house.
The copper bar, crafted by St. James artisan Dominick Braiotta, has six brass knobs on the cabinet doors that are detailed sculptures of women. The sink has a Herbeau faucet. More than 6,400 brass nailheads hold the room’s wood paneling in place. Stained to match all of the leather panels, the commercial-grade steel door has a custom porthole allowing natural light to enter the room during the day. The room is lit by an antique chandelier, which is also staying with the house.
The home features 10-foot ceilings, 5-1/2 baths, two fireplaces, a guest suite with a bathroom, master bedroom and three additional bedrooms.
It is listed with Linda Wohl of Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty.
