WHAT'S COOKIN'. Hamptons architect Peter Cook purchased a parcel of land in North Haven, according to the Long Island Real Estate Report. The sales price was $585,000. Known for his high-end East End homes, Cook says he is unsure of what he will build on the 1.8-acre lot. "I saw a great opportunity and took it," says Cook. "A reasonably priced parcel just shy of two acres, room for house pool and tennis, near the Village of Sag Harbor and within walking distance to the beach doesn't come up too often." The Corcoran Group's Chris Tice sold the lot to Cook, supermodel Christie Brinkey's ex. The asking price had been $625,000.

CUSTOM DESIGN: Constructed by builder Michael Davis, this five-bedroom, 4.5-bath home in Wainscott South has just been reduced from $4.2 million to $3.995 million. The 5,200-square-foot shingle-style traditional home comes with the most modern amentities: radiant heat, a geothermal HVAC system, and Rockwool insulation with soundproofing. Limestone fireplaces adorn the living room and both master suites on the first and second floor. The bluestone terraces create privacy that lead to a 35-by-15-foot heated saltwater gunite pool with an automatic cover. The finished lower level has a rec room equipped with a gym, a wine cellar, low voltage lighting and a Niles Audio system. "This house would be difficult to replicate and has the most magnificent wood finishes," said listing agent Michael Schultz of The Corcoran Group. "And, it’s close to the beach, shopping and the Hampton Jitney.”
