Rich Cribs: East Hampton's Glass Cube for $3.495M

Some architects like to think outside the box. Architect Jorge Sosa actually designed one made of glass. Referred to as the Glass Cube, the East Hampton house -- listed for $3.495 million -- was built in 1986 on three-quarters of an acre.

In 2008, the house was completely renovated and enlarged to about 4,200 square feet. It features white honed limestone on the floors and walls, glass as countertops and cable railings both inside and out.

The kitchen of  glass and stainless steel, serves a dining room with a wall-mounted fireplace.

A modern, freestanding revolving fireplace is in the bedroom of the master suite, which is one of four bedrooms. There are four bathrooms — including a master bath — and two half-baths.

Other features include a steam shower, sauna and stainless-steel, eight-person, indoor hot tub.

There are landscape views of mature trees and grassy areas throughout the house. The property has a patio and 50-foot gunite lap pool surrounded by river rocks.

The house is being marketed by Elaine Stimmel and Jonathan Millioti of The Corcoran Group.
