Rich Cribs: Lloyd Harbor mansion has new look
A Nantucket Colonial mansion in Lloyd Harbor, on the market for $3.95 million, has a new agent and a new look.
Construction of the 10-room home was completed in 2011. “The house has intricate mill work,” including on the ceiling, says Deborah Hauser, listing agent with Debra Russell at Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty. When showing the home, she says, “The eye went right up to the ceilings.”
To create a balance, the agency called on the Bronxville-based room staging company Sold With Style. Hauser says she often advises homeowners on how to stage rooms themselves, but not on this scale. “This was the first time dealing with an outside company,” she says.
The process took about four days, from the virtual presentation to the final staging of all the rooms on the main floor as well as the master bedroom. The house was recently part of the annual North Shore Holiday House tour.
There are six bedrooms and 6.5 baths. Other features include a formal living room, a breakfast room off the kitchen, two fireplaces and laundry rooms on both floors. The property, which comes with deeded beach and mooring rights, is a little less than 4 acres and offers an in-ground pool, a cabana, a cottage and a tennis court.
