The security expert hired to keep the Colonel's recipe secret during a change at Kentucky Fried Chicken has gone into contract on his Manhasset home.

Nicholas Colombos of Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate in Manhasset says the sale of Richard “Bo” Dietl’s house will be a record-setter for the Stone Hill luxury development.

The five-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom brick house, which is on a 167-foot-by-172-foot lot, will sell for just over $3 million, Colombos says. The asking price had been $3.295 million. It was first listed for $3.595 million.

"Getting over $3 million is very good," says Colombos, a Stone Hill resident who is listing the property with Traci Clinton.

Dietl is a retired New York City Police detective. He is the author of “One Tough Cop,” which was turned into a 1998 film starring Massapequa native Stephen Baldwin. He is chairman and chief executive of Beau Dietl & Associates in Manhattan. His clients include Coca-Cola, Donald Trump and the Saudi Royal Family.
