Victoria Gotti puts Old Westbury estate on market again
The "Growing Up Gotti" home is for sale.
Author Victoria Gotti -- daughter of the late organized crime boss John Gotti -- is asking $2.499 million for the Old Westbury estate. Much of the A&E series took place at the house, where Gotti and her three sons, Carmine, Frank and John, still live.
The four-plus-acre property, which has been on and off the market over the years, features not only Gotti's distinctive white brick house but a guest house, pool, basketball/tennis court, detached garage, stable and go-cart course. Many of the features factored prominently in memorable plots on the cable TV reality show, which aired between 2004 and 2005.
"The grounds are beautiful," says Fran Mazer of Shawn Elliott Luxury Homes & Estates, who is marketing the property with Michael Clay.
The master bedroom contains a Jacuzzi, and there is a finished basement.
Mazer says rooms throughout the house are large with high ceilings. "She's putting in a new kitchen now and doing some work inside," she says.
Gotti recently appeared on "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" dining in a scene with cast member Teresa Giudice. The women got to know each other while filming NBC's "The Apprentice."
She was in the news recently because fellow Long Islander Lindsay Lohan tried to land a role playing her in a movie about John Gotti. She didn't get the part.
And this year, Gotti was awarded $18,551 for overpaying on her property taxes. The total Nassau County tax bill alone is $71,759 a year, says Mazer.
