Victoria Gotti tries new tack in selling Old Westbury home

Victoria Gotti's Old Westbury mansion is still on the market, but now with a new agency, a new asking price and a new renovation.
Now listed with Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate, the house and its four-plus acres of property are on the market for $2.895 million. The house had been listed with Century 21 Laffey Associates for $2.3 million, but only with a 2.5-acre portion of the land, says Constance Goodwin, who is co-listing the property with Regina Rogers. The five-bedroom, three-bathroom, one half-bath 6,000-square-foot white brick home was built in 1993. Gotti had planned to redo the kitchen. "The guy promised to do it in two to three weeks," Goodwin says. "And he didn't do it." Gotti was able to get her money back, Goodwin says.But Gotti has updated the guest house and the swimming pool, both of which appeared to need some work in the 2004-05 A&E cable show "Growing Up Gotti," which starred Gotti and her three sons.
Earlier this year, Gotti had been working with the federal government to save the home from foreclosure. Her ex-husband, Carmine Agnello, had used the property to secure a $700,000 loan, and Gotti had to pay back taxes and other claims in order to clear the title.Goodwin says she believes the matter was settled.
Gotti's brother, Oyster Bay Cove resident John "Junior" Gotti, was freed this week after a federal jury could not reach a verdict in his trial on mob racketeering charges. Gotti hadn't been "in any mood to show the house," Goodwin says. With her brother's troubles behind him, Gotti will start showing the property at the beginning of the year, Goodwin says.
