Centerport house is all about the landscaping
With the right landscaping, you can create your own private oasis. That’s what Debra and Gary Vogel did more than a decade ago when they purchased their Centerport home, which is now listed for $1,399,999.
The couple hired Goldberg & Rodler, a landscape design company in Huntington, as well as Gibbons Swimming Pools in Islandia. About $300,000 later, they have a spa with a waterfall that spills into the free-form heated in-ground gunite pool surrounded by a stone patio that overlooks a lush landscape of mature trees, perennials and other specimen plantings.
Views of the one-acre tiered property are also afforded from the wraparound porch, as well as from a lower deck. “The deck is built into the hillside. . . . It feels like you are in Vermont. . . . It’s all wooded,” says Kim Bullis-Byrd of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, who is marketing the house with Paul Dougherty.
