Why it’s for sale: Liz, 48, owns a software company, and her husband, Rich, 48, is an air traffic controller. They and their 8-year-old daughter, Gabriella, are moving to Florida to be closer to older family members.

The Pecoraros built their four-bedroom, three-bath home seven years ago. It has 3,200 square feet of living space on a .75-acre lot, central air-conditioning, a wood-burning fireplace, attached two-car garage and in-ground sprinklers. When asked what she loves most about the house, Liz replies:

“You’re going to make me cry. I love the whole thing. I love the wraparound porch where we can watch the kids play in the cul-de-sac. We love sitting in the very private backyard, where there’s a nature preserve (-like) area behind us. I work from . . . a home office. So when I’m not working . . . Our beautiful gourmet kitchen has stainless-steel appliances, granite counters . . . and a big open area leading to the family room.
The home is perfect for entertaining . . . and having parties. When we built it, most of the upgrades were in the kitchen. We finished the basement . . . There’s a huge living space there and . . . a little secret area we call Pixie Hollow for Gabriella’s play area. It’s just very girlie, and it’s where her dollhouse is. It’s a kids’ getaway. We are in a tight-knit community. It’s small-town living on the edge of the Hamptons. We’re minutes from the beach.’’
