Why it’s for sale. Dennis, 52, a computer analyst, and Cheryl, 48, a former office manager, are moving to Florida to be closer to family.

“Updated and refreshed” is how the Stabers describe this seven-room Colonial, which they have called home for 21 years. "Just a few years ago, we put in a new kitchen and very recently new stainless steel appliances,” says Cheryl, noting the country kitchen is about 26 feet long. The interior is freshly painted, and the second floor has new carpeting.

The house has 2.5 bathrooms and three bedrooms, including the master suite, which has two closets, including one walk-in. The Stabers say they enjoy spending time in the Florida room, which is accessible from the kitchen through French doors.

The house also features wood floors, an arched entranceway, ceiling fans, a full basement and two attics, including one above the one-car garage. The 100-by-150-foot property with in-ground sprinklers is graced by a “beautiful big old cherry tree,”  Dennis says. Cheryl adds this about the property and location:

“We are on a very quiet block with horse farms. We see horses across the street . . .  It’s a real country feel . . .  We have two sheds, a tree house and a swing set in the back, which will stay . . . You can walk to the baseball field . . . We are close to shopping, restaurants and Bald Hill . . . Ronkonkoma train station is 10 minutes away, and Medford [station] is about three minutes."
