It seems that media mogul Rupert Murdoch is getting more serious about selling his waterfront estate on Centre Island, chopping the price by more than $2 million.

Murdoch’s five-acre spread first hit the market in 2007 and was listed at the time for $14.8 million. Last summer, the price stood at $12.8 million.

The asking price has once again been lowered to $10.5 million, according to the Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate website.

The 11-bedroom, 7 ½-bath home bears the name Rosehearty. Murdoch and wife, Wendi, purchased the estate in 2003 for $7.8 million, records show. There are seven fireplaces, a pool, tennis courts and 260 feet of beachfront.

The home was taken off the market briefly in the fall of 2008, and rented for a while to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt while Jolie filmed scenes for her upcoming movie “Salt” on Long Island. It has been reported that the Jolie-Pitts paid $100,000 per month to stay there.
