Sagaponack remains the most expensive ZIP code in the country, despite a drop in median sale price in 2016, according to a recent analysis by PropertyShark.

The 11962 ZIP code in the Hamptons saw a median sale price of $5.5 million, a 35 percent, or $3 million, price drop over the previous year, according to the New York City-based real estate website. That still put it in the lead over Atherton, California, a town in Northern California’s Silicon Valley, which came in second place, with a median sale price of $5.425 million.

In Manhattan, the 10013 ZIP code, which covers the TriBeCa and SoHo neighborhoods, came in third, with a median sale price of $3.8 million.

Six other Long Island communities made it to the top 50. Also in the Hamptons, Water Mill came in at No. 16 with a median sale price of $2.6 million, while Wainscott followed at No. 17, with a median sale price of $2.51 million.

The North Shore’s Old Westbury ranked No. 34 with a median sale price of $1.93 million, Shelter Island Heights ranked No. 36 with a median sale price of $1.9 million and Mill Neck came in at No. 40 with a median sale price of $1.8 million. The East End’s Amagansett was No. 50 with a median sale price of $1.7 million.
