Benjamin Noriega-Ortiz, an interior designer with BNOdesign in New York whose celebrity clients include Lenny Kravitz and Russell Simmons, says he wanted to capture the views at this Water Mill home, on the market for $2.95 million, when he decorated it about 15 years ago.

He says he kept the home subdued, with natural tones, to emphasize the unobstructed view of Peconic Bay.

"Everything is monochromatic because the view is spectacular," Noriega-Ortiz says. "We kept everything simple, and we mixed woods with natural tones."

The five-bedroom, 31/2-bathroom home is on 1.2 acres with a pool and tennis court. Next to it is a 4.6-acre lot that the owners also own that may be purchased for $1.995 million, says Martha Gundersen, the listing agent, of Brown Harris Stevens.

The 180-degree view of the bay is so stunning because the home is set high above the water, Gundersen said.

"You have phenomenal views from the first and second floor," she says, explaining that Noriega-Ortiz made sure that every room in the home points toward those views.
