Fifty-two artworks -- paintings, sculptures, works on paper, photographs and mixed media -- were selected by jurors Renato Danese of Manhattan's Danese Gallery and Franklin Perrell, former Nassau County Museum of Art curator, and Richard Vaux, artist and a professor emeritus of Adelphi University. The biennial opens Saturday at the Heckscher, along with a smaller "Max Weber on Long Island" exhibit. In addition, film and video entries for the biennial are still being juried by Cinema Arts for presentation in July.
