MANASQUAN - College students who spent their spring break helping with Sandy recovery are back getting their hands dirty.

The students are taking time out of their fall break in Manasquan this week, digging out a trench on the side of a home.

Coastal Habitat for Humanity organized the effort. The organization says 10,000 students from various colleges are helping out at disaster sites all over the country.

"These kids are helping Coastal Habitat put 70, maybe 75, or higher number of families back in their homes as a result of the Hurricane Sandy damage over the next few years," according to Duane Hershberger.

The students also did work this week at a few homes in Neptune.
