Cabo Fresh, the locally owned burrito-tortilla-taco specialist, has opened a branch in Commack.
The "California Mexican" restaurant is a spinoff of the original in Stony Brook.
Cabo Fresh's selections include seafood or meat burritos, crisp and soft tacos, quesadillas, nachos and fruit smoothies. Taco fillings include sweet pork carnitas, chile-roasted beef, grilled steak and chicken.

Ko Gu Ryo in Commack has closed, joining the long line of Korean restaurants to have come and gone from this peaked-roof freestanding building at 1087 Jericho Tpke.

Heather West — the season 2 winner of Fox’s “Hell’s Kitchen” — has bid arrivederci to Ciao Baby in Commack and Massapequa Park, where she was executive chef for over a year. She is now chef at Thatched Cottage, a catering venue in Centerport.

A recent lunch at Ko Gu Ryo, a new Korean restaurant in Commack, proved enjoyable. For starters, there was a gratis banchan, or assortment of Korean pickled vegetables, that included spinach, radishes, beans, the ubiquitous kimchee (cabbage) and more.
