Oyster Bay to repair East Shore Drive sidewalks
Quick ReadTown officials said that the homeowners have 30 days to tell the town whether they prefer to hire a private contractor to do the repairs or allow the town to remove the trees and fix the sidewalk.

I am a wheelchair-bound man with cerebral palsy. When I leave my home to travel to Merrick Road, the sidewalks on East Shore Drive are impassible due to gnarled root systems that lift the sidewalks up to 16 inches.
