Here are the Nassau County sites and structures - some included in districts and some listed individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Those with asterisks are museums, details of which may be found on the museum list in this section. Also consult ``The National Register of Historic Places in New York State,'' compiled by Peter D. Shaver for the Preservation League of New York State and published by Rizzoli International Publications.

CENTRE ISLAND Seawanhaka Corinthian Yacht Club, Centre Island Road. Colonial Revival clubhouse built 1891-92.

COVE NECK James Alfred Roosevelt Estate (Yellow Banks), 360 Cove Neck Rd. Residence built 1881.

Sagamore Hill National Historic Site, built 1884-85 for Theodore Roosevelt.

Edward H. Swan House, Cove Neck Road. Second Empire residence built 1853.

EAST HILLS Mackay Estate Dairyman's Cottage, 40 Elm Dr. Designed about 1902 for Clarence H. Mackay.

Mackay Estate Gate Lodge, Harbor Hill and Roslyn Roads. Designed by Stanford White and built 1900-02.

Mackay Estate Water Tower, Redwood Drive. Designed by Stanford White and built 1900-02.

EAST WILLISTON East Williston Village Historic District, East Williston Avenue, Roslyn Road, Atlanta Avenue and Village Green; 19th to early 20th-Century properties.

FARMINGDALE Railroad Station, built 1896, enlarged 1910.

FLOWER HILL George W. Denton House, West Shore Road. Italianate villa built about 1873.

FREEPORT Post Office, Built 1932-33.

GARDEN CITY Apostle House, 109 Eleventh St., Second Empire, relocated 1988.

Old Nassau County Courthouse, 1550 Franklin Ave. Neoclassical, built 1900 with later additions.

A.T. Stewart Era Buildings, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Streets and Cathedral and Cherry Valley Avenues. Structures built 1871-93 for planned suburban community.

Post Office, built 1936.

GLEN COVE Justice Court Building, Glen Cove Highway. Flemish Revival, built 1907-09.

Post Office, built 1932-33.

The Shell House, 26 Westland Dr. Tudor Revival, built 1910 on former J. Pierpont Morgan Jr. estate.

Woolworth Estate, 77 Crescent Beach Rd. Italian Renaissance house, garage, greenhouses and gardens designed 1916 for developer of five- and 10-cent stores.
